  • LCMS Mat Hawks win district

    The LCMS Mat Hawks were able to defend their title as reigning KSWA District 2 champions last Saturday.

    The Mat Hawks were also able to qualify 17 wrestlers for the upcoming KSWA Region 1 tournament, which will be held at John Hardin High School on Saturday, January 21.

  • LCHS Mat Hawks win section dual...

    The LaRue County Hawks had a successful weekend winning the section 6 duals at Thomas Nelson High School last Saturday. The Mat Hawks defeated a strong John Hardin squad in the finals.

    Team results: LaRue over Nelson County 82-0, LaRue over Thomas Nelson, 84-0, LaRue over Taylor County 69-10, LaRue over Bardstown 76-4 and LaRue over John Hardin 38-31

  • Lady Hawks beat Hart County

    The Lady Hawks varsity basketball team picked up an important 70-44 district win against the Hart County Lady Raiders last Friday, January 13.

    The Lady Hawks got ahead early and never looked back as they led 17-11 at the end of the first quarter and 36-20 at the second quarter. The Lady Raiders cut the lead to 45-31 at the end of the third, but the Lady Hawks finished with a strong 25 points in the fourth quarter to win by a 26 point margin.

  • Hawks continue winning

    The LaRue County Hawks varsity basketball team are continuing to win as they picked up three more wins this past week.

    The Hawks dismantled their district opponent, the Green County Dragons, by a score of 67-28 on Saturday, January 14.

    The Hawks struggled some in the first quarter only leading 17-13, but the last three quarters were not the same as the Hawks held the Dragons to 4 points in the second quarter and led 37-17 at halftime.

  • LCMS Hawks finish regular season

    As the last week of the Boy’s Middle School basketball season rolled around, the Hawks played St. James on the road last Monday night in Elizabethtown.

  • LaRue/Nelson County 6th Grade...

    LaRue County Team #1 hosted St. James this past Saturday morning and came away with a 33 to 22 victory. Landon Colvin and Carson Childress led the team in scoring with 8 each while Carsen DeVary had 7, Brandon Hillis had 4, Ethan Sullivan, Damian Vittitoe, and Aaron Silva had 2 each. Team #1 presently has a (2-1) record.

    LaRue Co. 40 vs. Green Co. 45         1/14/17

    The JV Hawks played good in spurts last Saturday against Green County, but could not overcome several big runs by the Dragons. The Hawks are now 6-2 on the season.

    Scoring: Kristen Boone 13, Emma Bell 12, Kelsey Hornback 5, Bella Thurman 4, Lauren Pollard 3 and Bailey Rogers 2. The Lady hawks are now 6-3 on the season.

    LCYSA spring registration

    LaRue County Youth Soccer Association spring registrations will be at the Abraham Lincoln Elementary School cafeteria on January 21 and 28 from 10 a.m. to noon.  Spring age groups are U4 Mixed through U19 Mixed teams.  All girls teams may be available for U10, U12 and U14 age groups.    Either a birth certificate or a passport is required.  Please see our facebook page, our website http://laruecountyyouthsoccer.com/, or email us at lcysa.questions@gmail.com with questions.
