    Swimming pool hours The LaRue County Park and Recreation swimming pool is open every day until school starts back on Aug. 6. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday; and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. It can be rented 6-9 p.m. for pool parties. Admission to the pool is $6 for ages 12 and older and $3 for ages under 12. A pool pass for a family of four can be purchased for $30.     Sports pre-participation physicals Sports pre-participation physicals will be available 5:30 p.m. July 1 at LaRue County High School. Cost is $10 per person, cash or check made out to Hardin Memorial Hospital. Athletes must bring their KHSAA pre-participation physical evaluation form, with the first and fourth pages completed and signed by the student and parent guardian.     Golf scramble Fort Knox Federal Credit Union is sponsoring a golf scramble June 20 to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters.      Youth softball meeting There will be a LaRue County Youth Softball meeting at 6 p.m. June 12 at the LaRue County Park and Recreation building. New officers will be elected and future activities discussed. FREE: Basketball camp Paul Handley will sponsor a free basketball camp for students in grades 1-12 from 8:30 a.m. to noon June 17-20 at his home, 1982 Campbellsville Road, Hodgenville.       Free fishing weekend Kentucky observes free fishing weekend on June 7-8. Every year during the first full weekend of June, anglers do not need a fishing license or even a trout permit. Normally, people over the age of 15 must have a license to fish away from their property. Normal size limits and creel limits for fish still apply during free fishing weekend, however.

     Sports and band pre-participation physicals Hardin Memorial Hospital’s Therapy and Sports Medicine Center, 1111 Ring Road, Elizabethtown, will hold sports and band pre-participation physicals for LaRue County student athletes 8:45-10 a.m. May 31. The team competes April 21 at Bardstown; April 25 at Elizabethtown; April 29 at Thomas Nelson; May 2 at Green County; May 6 at Elizabethtown (conference meet).
