  • Gifted and relentless

To whom much is given, much is required. This quote from the Bible reminds me of certain athletes at LaRue County High School who have been blessed with a great deal of talent, whether it be on the playing field or in the classroom. Such is the case for Sophomore Mallory Williams who is a gifted athlete, but is relentless in her efforts to be better than the day before.

Williams discovered her love for basketball on the playground during recess.

The LaRue County Hawks football team lost their final game of the season in a close 26-22 battle last Friday to the Green County Dragons.

The Hawks finished the season with a 2-8 record and a 0-4 record in district play. As a result of being in a five team district and finishing last in the district, the Hawks did not qualify for the district tournament.

However, the Hawks played with heart during their final game as they were the first to score on a safety when Seth DeVary brought down Dragons quarterback Jaysen Judd in the end zone making the score 2-0.
