Hodgenville City Council held first reading Monday of a $1,234,950 million budget ordinance for fiscal year ending June 30, 2014.
Anticipated funds include $336,300 from occupational taxes; $296,000 from city taxes; $285,000 from insurance premium surtax; and $48,900 miscellaneous government aid.
General fund expenditures include $486,990 for police; $489,510 for capital outlay; $55,250 for fire department, debt and outlay; $25,000 for park and recreation; and $78,200 for Red Hill Cemetery (which is expected to be offset by revenue or carryover).
