A pair of civil cases involving LaRue County deputies were filed in 2011 in circuit court. One case was eventually dismissed while the other continues to wind through the court system.
Two women alleged false imprisonment and false arrest against the department after their arrests in unrelated cases.
Pamela Dugan, 57, of Buffalo, claimed she was pulled from her residence on April 25, 2011, by Deputy Brian Smith. She claimed she was placed in a cruiser and transported to LaRue County Detention Center where she was processed and jailed for 13 hours.
