Four awarded scholarships

  The LaRue County Farm Bureau recently presented scholarships of $500 to three recent graduates of LaRue County High School; and a $1,000 scholarship to a college student.

Angel Danielle Humphrey and Adam Elisha Lewis were married May 31, 2013, in a private ceremony at the residence of Gordon McDowell.

The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Lisa Humphrey.

The groom is the son of Sid and Judy Lewis.

Attendants were the couple’s parents, Vicky Enlow and Bryson Elisa Lewis.

The couple lives in Hodgenville.

USS Columbus veterans reunion
Navy and Marine Corps shipmates who served on the USS Columbus CA-74/CG-12 from 1944 to 1976 and the USS Columbus SSN-762, past and present, are invited to share memories and camaraderie.

The USS Columbus CA-74/CG-12/SSN reunion is Oct. 2-6 at Hilton, Branson, Missouri.
