Every hour of every day, or as many say 24-7, was the experience of Enoch.  Enoch walked with God (Genesis 5:21-24). He was always with God. In Psalm 73:23 the Psalmist speaks of always being in God’s presence. He believed, “It is good to be near God.”

How do we walk with God continually through the day? We must invite God into our lives 24-7.

To always be with God means we are held in God’s hands.  

An Upton man was charged with third-degree assault and resisting arrest after he allegedly fought, cursed and spit on a city officer.

Hodgenville officer Brandon Casey responded to a report of a disturbance on Phillips Lane about 1:40 a.m. May 10. When he arrived, he found Christopher Metcalf, 25, near one of the staircases to Taylor Mills Apartments.

The officer attempted to cite Metcalf with alcohol intoxication in a public place. Metcalf allegedly became combative and struggled. The officer used pepper spray to subdue him, according to the citation.

BARDSTOWN – The Lady Hawks were blanked in late semifinals of the 5th Region Softball Tournament at Nelson County.

LaRue’s Ladies fell 11-0 in six innings to Central Hardin’s Lady Bruins – the eventual Region champs.

Sophomore shortstop Kelsey McGuffin pounded out three homers for Central Hardin Tuesday. She hit the last three strikes she saw over the fence at Mike Lusk Field.

Mark and Melissa Blair of Elizabethtown announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kaitlin Blair, to Anthony Huff, son of Boone and the late Lisa Graham of Buffalo and Tony Huff of Elizabethtown.

The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Central Hardin High School and a 2012 graduate of Western Kentucky University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She is employed by LaRue County Schools as a substitute teacher.
