Steve LaRue snapped a picture of some of his favorite, brightly colored flowers.
It's time for Zinnia Fest at the hill; LaRue invites all to come see the vivid colors in his garden

Next to Arbor Day, I don’t know of a holiday more exciting than the one that is fast approaching.

This extra-special day comes around only once per year and is smack dab in the middle of the summer. Friends and family gather to celebrate a favorite flower that makes all of our spot of garden just a little more beautiful: Zinnia Fest.

The second annual Zinnia Fest is 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 26, at Groundhog Hill.

Grab your gardening scissors, a pail of water and cut a colorful bouquet for your Sunday lunch table.
