Two injured in CATS crash

Two women were injured Monday in a single-vehicle crash in a remote area of LaRue County.

Terry Veirs, 56, of Salem Church Road, was driving a Dodge Caravan owned by Central Kentucky Community Action north on Levelwoods Road about 8:42 a.m. She had traveled past Levelwoods Church and entered a downhill curve when the front passenger side tire slid off the right side of the roadway.

LaRue County Deputy Russell McCoy said the combination of wet grass and soft ground from recent rainfall prevented Veirs from correcting her path.
