Jaggers steps down as football coach after Thursday meeting

Two seasons ago, Josh Jaggers was voted Class 3-A, District 3 Coach of the Year by his fellow district coaches. On his 33rd birthday, Jaggers was out of a coaching job.

After a brisk meeting Thursday with LaRue County administrators who he would not name, Jaggers resigned Friday morning and promptly met with the team he had coached for the past three seasons.

Jaggers said he did have the “full support” of LaRue County High School Principal Kyle Goodlett and Athletic Director David Dawson when it came to running the program.
