  • Bank of Buffalo robbed

      Bank of Buffalo reported a robbery at its Buffalo location about 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27.

    According to Kentucky State Police, the suspect was described as a white male, about 6 feet tall and about 30 years of age.  He was last seen wearing a dark colored hoodie, blue jeans and work gloves.

     Chad Savage, a student at LaRue County High School, visited with fishing pro Rick Morris at Renegade Marine in Leitchfield in early February. 

  • Forestry office to move to Campbellsville

     Hardin County native Steve Gray has spent about 30 years of his career with the state Division of Forestry at the division office in Elizabethtown.

    The office where he has spent so much of his time working has been open since 1949, helping with forest fire control, assisting with forest management, inspecting logging work for water quality violations, running educational programs in schools and conducting other work.

  • Project Graduation holds golf scramble

    LaRue County Project Graduation is sponsoring a golf scramble on Saturday, April 13. Registration begins at 8 a.m.; shotgun start is at 9 a.m. The cost is $50 per golfer with a maximum of four per team. Includes lunch, green fees and golf cart. Cash prizes for first, second, third and last. Hole sponsors are also needed – $50 or $100.      Former LaRue County High School assistant principal and head football coach Rodney Armes will be inducted into the Fifth Region Athletic Directors’ Hall of Fame March 2.

  • CHEER CHAMPS: Cheerleaders earn first State Championship

     The LaRue County High School Cheerleaders set a new standard for future squads. They won their division Saturday at the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Competitive Cheer Championship.
