Hodgenville City Council, meeting Thursday in a special-called meeting, gave Mayor Kenny DeVore the right to negotiate the price of a fire truck.
Hodgenville Fire Chief Wally Sparks has inspected the truck in question – a 1990 model with a 95-foot floating bucket (it stays level). It has a 300-gallon water tank and will seat seven people – including the driver.
“It fits our needs and the required reach we need,” said DeVore.
The truck has 3,218 hours and 32,626 miles – and is garage-kept.
