  • GED Commencement held Monday

     The GED Commencement this past Monday should be a reminder that those who might be considering earning their certificate have until the end of next month to take the assessment without cost.

  • Raglands celebrate 60 years

     J.C. and Naomi Ragland will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary June 20, 2013.

    They were married June 20, 1953, in Buffalo by Rev. E.W. Godbey.

    They have three children: Darrell Ragland of Bolivia, Dwayne Ragland of Elizabethtown and Malinda Logsdon of Magnolia; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

  • Sidebottoms welcome Camden Ryder

     Daniel and Casey Sidebottom of Hodgenville announce the birth of a son, Camden Ryder Sidebottom, on May 18, 2013 at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

    Camden Ryder weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and was 20-inches long.

    He is welcomed home by a sister, Raegan.

    Maternal grandparents are Dwayne and Debbie Whitlock of Hodgenville.

    Paternal grandparents are Tony and Laurinda Sidebottom of New Haven.

  • Skaggs - Bush to wed

     Mr. and Mrs. Mark Skaggs of Mount Sherman announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Bethany Ann Skaggs, to Alexander Blake Bush, son of Dewayne and Donna Bush of Hart County.

    The wedding is 3:30 p.m. July 6, 2013, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Mount Sherman.

    The bride to be is a full-time student at Lindsey Wilson College.

    The prospective groom is a 2012 graduate of Hart County High School and is employed at Publishers Printing in Shepherdsville.

    They will make their home in Hart County.

     Michelle Lea Mickow and Lance Corporal Heath M. Milby are pleased to announce their forthcoming marriage.

     Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Deanna Huhn announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Allyson Lynn Huhn, to Roger Dale Cooper Jr., son of Betty Cooper and the late Roger Cooper.

    The prospective bride is a 2005 graduate of LaRue County High School and is owner-operator for Mahlich Transportation.

    The prospective groom is a 2008 graduate of LaRue County High School and is employed by AGI Polymatrix.

    The wedding is 2 p.m. June 29, 2013, at Angel View Wedding Chapel, Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
