The holiday season is often said to be “the most wonderful time of the year.” People are cheery, gifts are given, and families gather together. But this magical time can quickly turn tragic if proper care is not given to Christmas tree safety.
The seventh annual Festival of Trees and silent auction, sponsored by the Hodgenville Woman’s Club, The Lincoln Museum and LaRue County Chamber of Commerce, will be Nov. 15-17.
The Trey Zwicker Memorial Toy Bike Run held on Oct. 13 netted 77 new toys for the Santa’s Helpers. Monetary totals are not available at this time.
The 46th annual Santa’s Helpers Bus will deliver toys and clothing to several areas of LaRue County on Monday, Dec. 24.
Attendance at Free Movie Night has been growing, slowly but surely, according to Hodgenville Mayor Terry Cruse.
Mount Zion to host auction for missionary
Glen Rice, Family and Friends Musical Concert will be 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at the Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center at John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown.
Dr. Kevin Cosby and choir from St. Stephens Baptist Church, Louisville, will host a program for the Hubbard Cemetery at noon Saturday, Nov. 3 at First Baptist Hodgenville, Tonieville Road.
