  • Kentucky Proud Program funded

      The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board, chaired by Gov. Steve Beshear, approved the Kentucky Department of Agriculture for $2,830,000 Agricultural Development Funds to be divided over two years (2013-14) for the Kentucky Proud program.

       The LaRue County Middle School wrestlers competed Nov. 17 at the North Hardin Invitational.

  • PHOTO: Sunrise Adult Daycare visits Christmas bazaar

     Sunrise Manor Silver Angels Adult Daycare participated in the Sunrise Manor Christmas Bazar on Nov. 17. Gonda McCubbin, former daycare member and present resident at Sunrise Manor, looked at the lap quilts and wall hangings made by the daycare group.

  • ECTC holds two holiday concerts

     Elizabethtown Community and Technical College will host two holiday concerts this month.

    On Tuesday, Nov. 27, the ECTC Band, directed by Kevin Shank, will have a holiday concert with special guests, the Radcliff Elementary School Choir, at 7 p.m. in the Student Center. There will also be a special visit by Santa Claus.

  • McConnell continues as Republican leader

     U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell was unanimously re-elected by his colleagues on Wednesday to serve as Republican Leader for the 113th Congress. Senator McConnell is only the second Kentuckian to lead his party in the U.S. Senate. The other Senator from Kentucky to serve as his party’s leader was Alben Barkley.

  • Dones honored by Nationwide

     Tammy Dones has been selected as the November employee of the month for Nationwide Uniform.

    She has been employed with Nationwide since August 1983 and is under the supervision of Shirley Cobb in the trousers department.

    She will receive an award for her dedication and service.
