  • Jeff Green Scholars named

    Seven 2013 graduates of LaRue County High School have been named Senator Jeff Green Scholars by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority for outstanding academic performance in high school. Students earn this designation by achieving a 4.0 grade point average each year of high school and scoring at least a 28 composite on the ACT.

  • New Haven neighbors fear repeat of ’97 garage fire

    New Haven neighbors of a garage that caught fire and caused part of the city to evacuate nearly 17 years ago are claiming the owner is operating in violation of his previous agreement with the city and is endangering a nearby school.

    Senior Citizens music

    The LaRue County Senior Citizens Center, 112 N. Walters Ave., Hodgenville, has music beginning at 6:30 p.m. every Saturday. Musicians and singers are welcome. For more information, call 270-358-4311 or e-mail Viola Riggs at viola47@windstream.net.

  • Driver’s License Information

    Exams for driver’s license permits are given 8-11 a.m. Mondays in the LaRue Circuit Court Clerk office at the courthouse.

    Road testing is given 12:30-2:30 p.m. on Mondays by appointment only.

    Motorcycle road testing is given on the fourth Monday of each month by appointment only. For more information, call the clerk’s office at 270-358-3421.
