  • New Haven man injured in crash

     A New Haven man was seriously injured Sunday, May 27 in a single-vehicle crash in Nelson County.

    Bradley McManus, 22, was driving a 2007 Chrysler Sebring north on Nat Rogers Road about 10:05 p.m., according to Kentucky State Trooper Jonathan Downs.

    The Sebring ran off the northeast shoulder of the roadway and struck an earth embankment. It overturned and rolled across the roadway and came to final rest on the southeast shoulder facing south.

  • Passport audit shows improvements

     The Cabinet for Health and Family Services last week released findings of a comprehensive financial audit of Passport Health Plan that show the program has made significant improvements in accountability and financial record-keeping since its last audit, and that patient satisfaction with the health care provider remains high.

  • NSU employees evacuated after bomb threat

     About 160 employees of NSU were evacuated from their workplace in Sonora Tuesday after a bomb threat.

    A contractor’s tractor and mower slid down a slope near the intersection of Lincoln Parkway and Tonieville Road about 8 p.m. Thursday. A wrecker was called to pull the tractor out of the ditch. Hodgenville City Police assisted with traffic control.

  • New Haven woman injured in crash

    A New Haven woman complained of lower back pain after her truck was reportedly rear-ended by a delivery van Wednesday afternoon.

    Pamela J. Robertson, 51, was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital after the two-vehicle accident, which occurred around 12:42 p.m. at the intersection of West John Rowan and McDowell boulevards. Her passenger was not injured, Bardstown Police Officer Tom Blair said.

  • Median cable barriers being installed on I-65

     Median cable barriers are being installed along a two-lane section of Interstate 65 from the Hart/LaRue County line extending north about six miles into Hardin County (MP 74 – MP 80).  Once this work is completed, continuous cross over crash prevention measures will be in place from the current three-lane widening project in Barren County to just south of Elizabethtown.

  • Man injured in motorcycle wreck

     A Hodgenville man was seriously injured about 10:30 p.m. May 16 when he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving.

  • Pool to open June 16 with reduced hours

     The LaRue County Swimming Pool will operate on a reduced schedule this summer.
