Donnie Hogue of Hodgenville had planned a pleasant Mother’s Day. She was looking forward to spending some time with her 12-year-old grandson Levi Gaddie and “spoiling” him a bit.
That Sunday took a frightening turn when she choked on a bite of food. She said Levi’s quick thinking saved her life.
“I got up that morning and asked him if he’d like a big, homemade breakfast,” said Hogue. She started preparing homemade biscuits, gravy, fried potatoes, scrambled eggs and bacon.
