 Paul Lassanske, chairman of Land of Lincoln Planning and Zoning, administered the oath of office Feb. 14 to newly appointed member Marsha Duncan. She will complete the term of Wayne Trombley who moved out of the area. Her term expires January 2016.

 Hodgenville City Council voted Monday to accept a pair of bids for wastewater system rehabilitation and storm sewer improvement.

 County road supervisor Clyde Veirs told LaRue County fiscal court magistrates meeting at the courthouse in Hodgenville Feb. 12 that crews spread more than 105 tons of salt on county roads during two recent rounds of freezing rain.

“We used about 80 tons on Jan. 25 and then pre-salted hills and curves with 25 tons on Feb. 1,” Veirs said. “We’ve received another 192 tons which leaves us with over 400 tons of salt on hand.”

 Time is running out for Kentuckians to share opinions and make their voices heard in a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet initiative to update the Long Range Transportation Plan of the Commonwealth.

Members of the public have until Feb. 25 to take a brief, confidential survey designed to gauge opinion on Kentucky’s transportation system and what it should offer in decades to come.
