 The General Election is Nov 6.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and any voter who is in line to vote by 6 p.m. will be allowed to cast a ballot.

Voters can avoid surprises on Election Day by checking their polling place and viewing sample ballots through the Voter Information Center https://cdcbp.ky.gov/VICWeb/index.jsp.

New Haven could soon see a new medical clinic in the city as the city’s board of commissioners unanimously approved a zoning change to allow Flaget Hospital to construct an immediate care center on Center Street, just opposite from Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home.

The vacant lot had previously been evaluated and given the go-ahead by the Nelson County Planning and Zoning Commission. 

 Hodgenville City Police has hired a new officer – Brandon Casey of Radcliff.

 Hodgenville City Council held final reading of a property tax ordinance Oct. 8. Property tax bills for Hodgenville residents will remain stable this year.
