The LaRue County Water District No. 1 has applied to the Public Service Commission for authorization to enter into an assistance agreement with Kentucky Rural Water Finance Corporation to borrow about $2.83 million to refund certain outstanding waterworks revenue bonds.
The Water District made application to the Commission on Aug. 29. On Sept. 17, the Commission accepted the application for filing.
The loan will have a 28-year term with interest rates that vary from 3.25 percent to 4.4 percent per annum.
