Hodgenville City Council heard a belated auditor’s report Monday for year ending June 30, 2012.

Susan C. Mouser, a certified public accountant with Clauson, Mouser & Co., apologized for the delay, saying her company had encountered staffing problems during the time when 30-or-so government audits had been due.

“My goal next year is to have (financials) out by Jan. 31,” she said.

LaRue County courthouse offices will receive a phone system upgrade projected to save the county $800 per month, Tommy Turner, county judge-executive, told magistrates meeting at the courthouse in Hodgenville May 28.

Turner said the upgrade which he hopes to have completed within the next month through Comcast, will include recabling the courthouse, will result in faster Internet service, and will be upgraded every four years with all maintenance and repair costs included.

Workers with Insituform Technologies, LLC, have hit the streets in Hodgenville, as part of the city’s stormwater/sewer rehabilitation project.
Some streets have been blocked or limited to one lane while workers steam and clean lines. After the lines are cleared, a blue sealer is inserted to prevent stormwater from entering cracks in the pipes.

Magistrates reappointed John Detre and Pat Eastridge to the LaRue County Water District Number One board while meeting at the LaRue County Courthouse May 14.
Terms of Detre, chairman, and Eastridge, commissioner, will expire in May 2017.
The court concurred with Land of Lincoln Planning and Zoning’s approval to rezone one acre of land at 1493 Weldon Loop belonging to Brenda Johnson from A1 to R1A and an acre at 155 Knob Schoolhouse Road, Garry Hayes owner, from A1 to R1B.
