  • Scholarship calendar - April 6, 2016

    Howard Roush Memorial Scholarship

    Fort Knox Federal Credit Union will award a one-time $1,000 college scholarship to four outstanding 2016 high school graduates. This year’s scholarships, designated the Howard Roush Memorial Scholarships, will be announced during the 65th Annual Membership Meeting on May 10, 2016, at the Performing Arts Center located at John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown.

  • LCS begins District Facility Plan process

    LaRue County Schools officials are preparing to start the District Facility Plan process, which charts a course for the district’s construction planning.

    “This is a process all school districts go through every four years,” said superintendent Sam Sanders. “Through this process, the Local Planning Committee will assess and prioritize the construction needs throughout the district.”

    Elizabethtown-Hardin-Larue Retired Teachers honored winners of the Grandparent Essay Contest on March 17, 2016 at the Hardin County Schools Early College Career Center

    Hailey Kelly from Abraham Lincoln Elementary read her essay about her grandfather Brodrick Holbert. Kelly received a medal, certificate and a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble. Kelly’s teacher, Adryanne Warren, also received a $25 gift card to Kentucky School Supply for their classroom.
