  • ECTC Offers 8-Week and 12-Week Class Schedule for Spring Semester

    College students looking to complete their course work in a shorter time may take advantage of eight-week and 12-week scheduling at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College.

    Registration is under way for both the 12-week session, which begins February 6, as well as the eight-week bi-term classes, which will start on March 6.

  • Whalin participating in DYW state event

    Symone Whalin, LaRue County’s 2017 Distinguished Young Woman, is participating in state DYW competition at Singletary Center for the Arts in Lexington this week.

    The LaRue County High School senior arrived in Lexington Sunday for the weeklong series of events that result in winners being awarded college scholarships worth thousands of dollars.

  • Parkway Peeps to sponsor Prom Extravaganza

    With prom goers already shopping for just the right dress for that special night on April 29, Parkway Baptist’s Relay for Life team decided to get in on the action with a different type of fundraiser.

    Parkway, in its second year as a Relay team, is sponsoring a Prom Extravaganza from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 4 at the church which is located at 325 Old Sonora Road in Hodgenville.

    4-H Canoe and Kayak Club

    The 4-H Canoe and Kayak Club will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17 at the LaRue County Extension Office.

    4-H Arts and Crafts Explores Club

    The 4-H Arts and Crafts Explorers Club will meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18 at the LaRue County Extension Office.

  • 4-H Selling pizza kits

    4-H members now have the opportunity to sell Little Caesars Pizza Kits to help raise money for 4-H.

    The sale is going on now through January 20.  Order forms are available from the Extension Office and purchases can also be made online.  Money must be collected at the time of the order.  Checks should be made payable to LaRue County 4-H.  Kits range in price from $16 to $24.  Pizza kits are available as well as crazy bread kits and even cookie dough. 

  • Senior calendar - January 4, 2017

    Senior Citizens music
