  • Students wanted for wellness committee

    Rip Collins is looking for three or four parents of LaRue County School students to join him and others on the district’s wellness committee.

    The committee, Collins explained, makes recommendations to the LaRue County Board of Education that ensure the district’s policy provides all students with a safe and healthy environment and promotes wellness through high quality health education and physical education to enrich student learning and ensure success.

  • School board extends contract

    The LaRue County School Board extended their current contract with their marketing communications firm at their monthly meeting on Monday, December 21.

    Superintendent Sam Sanders suggested that the board extend their current contract with Heartland Communications Consultants of Elizabethtown. for one year (January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016) at the current price of $2,000 per month.

  • 270 students helped with backpack program

    The community spirit shown in August when backpacks filled with clothes and school supplies were given to eligible LaRue County students is again evident during this season of giving.
