    Preschool children ages 2-4 and their parents are invited to Wee Time, where preschool children can become familiar with the school they will attend. The event is November 16 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School. The color for the event is green.   • LCHS seniors to vote for the first time

    Several LaRue County High School seniors will cast their ballots in a general election for the first time November 8.

    Two of them—Seth Newby, a registered Republican, and Jacob Thomas, a Democrat—agree on at least one thing about this presidential contest—they both have reservations about supporting either of the two top candidates.

  • LaRue Speech starts season with big wins

    Last weekend kicked off the first competition for the LaRue County Speech and Debate team.

    The team set a competitive tone for the season. They traveled to Northern Kentucky to compete at the Ryle Haunted Invitational, where they took second overall.

  • Sandidge wins award

    As LaRue County High School’s director of student services, Kelly Sandidge wears many hats.

    Among those responsibilities are counseling students, scheduling, organizing intervention programs, advising the gifted and talented program, keeping up with seniors’ progress to determine if they are college or career ready, serving as building assessment coordinator, and others.
