The LaRue County Homemakers offer a $400 scholarship available to LaRue County residents graduating from high school this year who plan to earn a degree in Family & Consumer Sciences, Agriculture or related fields; or an adult county resident returning to college, vocational or technical school for any field of study. Application forms are available at the Extension Office (358-3401) or http://ces.ca.uky.edu/larue/FamilyConsumerSciences. Deadline to apply is March 5.

Fourth Grade

 Brandi Aubrey, Ayanna Humphrey and Ozariah Embree, students in Tracy Tharp’s kindergarten class at Hodgenville Elementary School, caught snowflakes on black paper to see that no two snowflakes are alike. They also caught a few with their tongues.

Brayden Williams, a HES kindergarten student, showed the snowflakes he caught on a sheet of black paper.

 Staff and faculty of LaRue County Schools may be getting a pay raise, but they likely won’t be getting their paychecks more than once a month.
