All meetings dealing with hiring of a new LCMS principal will be held at the middle school in either the library or the computer lab.

• June 23 and June 28, time TBA – conducting applicant interviews

• June 30, time TBA – making a decision about the hiring of the principal

LaRue County High School’s Ian Mather was the third-place winner in Oral Interpretation after a two-day competition at the National Catholic Forensic League’s 59th annual national speech and debate tournament May 29 and 30.

Campbellsville University awarded Excellence in Teaching Awards to 169 educators from across Kentucky during the 24th annual awards program May 15 on the Campbellsville University campus.

“Teaching is the profession that creates all others,” Dr. Brenda A. Priddy, dean of the School of Education, said was printed on a wall in the School of Education building.

“You are the very best teachers in the Commonwealth,” she told the award recipients. “Teachers, you have shaped the lives of those who serve others.”

Heather Davis of Magnolia was named to the President’s List at Mid-Continent University in the ADVANTAGE program.

To achieve the President’s List, students must maintain a 4.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale term.

ADVANTAGE is an accelerated degree completion program. Adults 24 and above with about two years of college can earn the last half of their bachelor’s degrees by attending class one night per week for 18 months of instruction. Upon completion, students earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Management or Christian Ministry.
