  • School board: Will Pepsi's popularity triumph over RC's scoreboard?

    The LaRue County School Board met for more than two hours March 16, with the majority of time spent discussing bids – waste collection, beverages, asphalt and copiers – for the upcoming year.
    Several of the vendors bidding on services did not meet the requirements set forth by the board in January.

  • Careers may be launched at school event

    Planning the subjects they’ll take through four years of high school that will best prepare a path to their careers is an extremely important task for eighth grade students and their parents.

    LaRue County High School, with a program called Career Launch, helps those students and parents in that endeavor as they review with high school teachers the students’ interest inventory data and scores.

  • Speech team takes sixth in state, Anderson makes history

    The LaRue County High School Speech and Debate Team competed last week at the Kentucky High School Speech League State Championship at the University of Kentucky.
    The team returned home with two individual state championships, several other honors, and placed sixth overall in the state.
