  • LCMS Dress code changes

    There have been some changes made to the LCMS dress code for the upcoming school year. To give our parents as much notice as possible, please see the updated policy below.

    •Clothing must be appropriate for school. (For example: no pajamas, house slippers, etc.) Clothing must be free of holes, frays, cuts, tears, etc. above the knee. Covering the hole or placing/wearing a material under the hole is not acceptable).

    School board dates

    The LaRue county School Board meets at 7 p.m. Aug. 17, at LaRue County High School

    HES SBDM

    The Hodgenville Elementary School site-based decision-making council meets at 3:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month in the conference room. For more information, call the school, 270-358-3506.

  • This year at HES

    New Procedures

    HES has added security doors to the front of the building.  These doors will help ensure the safety of students and visitors to our building.  The front doors will be locked after the regular school day starts.  During the school day, visitors will use an intercom system for communication with front office staff prior to entering the building.

    PTSO Meeting

    The first PTSO meeting will be 6 p.m., Aug. 18.

  • Student recognized by ILN

     

    The International Leadership Network recently recognized a LaRue County student from the Lincoln Trail Young Achievers Program.

    Parker Smith, the son of Price and Rhonda Smith of Hodgenville, received the Most Outstanding Band Student Award. He is a member of the Robohawks Lego Robotic Club and is the Junior Youth Group Vice President. He enjoys piano and showing his horse in English Saddleseat Three-Gaited Classes.

  • New teachers in LaRue County

    Hodgenville Elementary

    Kylee Ferkel, 4th Grade. Ms. Ferkel has spent the past 3 years as a 4th grade teacher at Buckeye Woods Elementary in Grove City, Ohio.  Prior to that, she taught one year at Columbus Preparatory and Fitness Academy in Columbus, Ohio.  She is a graduate of The College of Saint Rose, in Albany, New York, and received her Masters of Education in Educational Psychology from Texas Tech University.
