 A Lyons Station man was charged in December with theft by unlawful taking or disposition of farm equipment.

According to court records, Mike Underwood, 43, of Kings Road, is accused of taking tractor weights from a LaRue County farm. The property owner noticed several missing (four John Deere weights, one International weight and two Case weights) and checked with a Hart County recycling business to see if they had been sold there.

Underwood’s name was allegedly on the tickets, according to records. The weights are valued at about $1,033.20.

 Four people were indicted Dec. 17 by a LaRue County grand jury on methamphetamine charges.

 A New Haven man who was arrested and charged with first-degree rape and second-degree escape last month was indicted on those charges and his arraignment set for Dec. 20 in Nelson Circuit Court.

Matthew Cody Losey, 19, of New Haven, was reportedly at a North Aspen Street residence where the victim accused Losey of rape shortly after midnight Nov. 20, according to a Bardstown Police Department press release.

A witness caught Losey in the sexual act, police said.

 A Buffalo man was indicted Monday on four counts after officials said he broke into a closet at the LaRue County Detention Center.
