  • Five indicted by Grand Jury

    Five people were indicted by the LaRue County Grand Jury on Monday, August 15.

    Matthew Bennett, 34, of Hodgenville was indicted on one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and second degree fleeing or evading police on foot. The alleged offenses occurred on August 4, 2016. He is accused of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He is also accused of attempting to flee from police on foot. His bail is set at $9,500 cash.

    A local woman was indicted for manslaughter and criminal abuse after the death of her mother who was in her care.

    Lovie P. Skaggs, 59, of Hodgenville was indicted by the LaRue County Grand Jury on Monday, July 18 for second degree manslaughter and first degree criminal abuse.
