  • New Haven residents indicted for meth

    Two New Haven residents have been indicted on several felony and misdemeanor charges after they allegedly manufactured methamphetamine in front of three juveniles.

  • Man charged with theft of tractor

    A Hodgenville man was charged Jan. 14 with numerous counts – including theft of a tractor.

    Kentucky State Police Post 4 received a call about 4:38 p.m. Jan. 14 about a man running down U.S. 62 in Stephensburg, according to Trooper Jeff Gregory.

    “The caller stated that the man said that someone was chasing him,” said Gregory in a release.

    Troopers were dispatched to the area but were unable to locate the man.

  • Man charged with receiving stolen property

    Michael A. Underwood, 45, of Buffalo, was charged with receiving stolen property valued at $10,000 or more by the LaRue County Sheriff’s office.

    Deputies located a car motor and transmission that had been taken from a Mount Sherman residence, in Underwood’s possession.

    He was lodged in the LaRue County Detention Center under $25,000 bond. He will be arraigned Wednesday in LaRue District Court.

    Completed deferred prosecution

    Charges of possession of controlled substance; drug paraphernalia, buy or possession; and possession of marijuana, were dismissed Dec. 16 against Mike Underwood (1969) in LaRue Circuit Court. Underwood signed an agreement in the 2011 case that he would have no criminal actions, no possession of firearms, obtain a high school diploma or GED, maintain fulltime status as an employee or student (or combination) and remain drug and alcohol-free.
