 Several people were indicted Feb. 18 by a LaRue County grand jury.

Adam Christopher Packard(1980) of New Haven was charged with theft by unlawful taking.

He is accused of taking an Olympus camera from a residence on Dec. 19, 2012.

He was lodged in the LaRue County Detention Center under $25,000 cash bond.

The LaRue County Sheriff’s office investigated.

Charles E. Rucker(1985) of Hodgenville was charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree persistent felony offender.

 A trial date for Abdullah Rahman White and Samantha JoDale Kolley, the couple implicated in the death of a Buffalo woman, has not been set.

 William Henry Spalding, 27, of Glendale Road, Hodgenville, was charged with second-degree assault Feb. 3 by Kentucky State Police.

Spalding is accused of beating an 8-year-old boy about the face, ear and buttocks, causing severe bruising.

Spalding pleaded not guilty at his Feb. 6 arraignment in LaRue District Court. The case was waived to the grand jury.

He was lodged in the LaRue County Detention Center. Bond was set at $25,000 cash and no contact with the alleged victim. 

 The Commonwealth Attorney’s Office requested Feb. 5 to continue a hearing in the case against a former LaRue County High School teacher accused of having a sexual encounter with a male student.

Natalie C. Gentry, 34, is charged with first-degree sexual abuse. She appeared in court Tuesday for a pretrial conference with attorney Roger Rigney, who was standing in for Louisville attorneys Scott C. Cox and Rob Eggert.

Prosecutors asked to reschedule the pretrial conference for March 12, which is six days before the jury trial is scheduled to begin.
