The driver of a truck involved in a fatal collision in November pleaded guilty in LaRue Circuit Court May 13 to second-degree manslaughter.

Brian Christopher Smith, 27, of River Road, was charged with reckless homicide, driving on a revoked or suspended license and failure of non-owner to provide insurance.

• Stephanie A. Fields, 41, New Haven, 24 counts possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, 24 counts complicity to possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, theft by deception $500 or more, complicity to theft by deception $500 or more. In March, either acting alone or in concert with Daniel Marshall, Fields allegedly passed forged checks at Wal-Mart, Five Star and other area businesses. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

A Hodgenville man faces a year in jail after pleading guilty to numerous charges May 2 in LaRue Circuit Court.

Officers said David Christopher Young, 47, was driving recklessly on Howardstown Road on Oct. 21, 2010, when he approached 11 workers paving the road. According to Deputy Matt Darst, Young drove through the ditch to go around the flagger and “popped both passenger side tires.” The flagger instructed him to stop, however, Young ignored him.

Probable cause found
Jonathon Ray Am­brose, 31, of Hodgen­ville, was charged with first-degree possession of controlled substance (cocaine) and buy or possession of drug paraphernalia April 1 by Hodgenville City Police.
A preliminary hearing was held April 13 in LaRue District Court. District Judge C. Derek Reed found probable cause and sent the case to the grand jury.
Ambrose was lodged in the LaRue County Detention Center under $9,500 full cash bond.
