    Revocation of probation
    Probation was revoked of Paul Edward Edlin Jr. (1974) at an Aug. 7 hearing.

    Declared a fugitive

    Samantha Gail Hoffman (1981) was declared a fugitive Aug. 7 after missing a court appearance. She is charged with failure to report change in order to receive benefits.

    Failed to appear
    Ben E. Poore (1964) failed to appear Aug. 7 in LaRue Circuit Court. A bench warrant was issued and he was declared a fugitive.

  • Men face trafficking charges

     Three men were arrested Wednesday on charges related to methamphetamine after investigators witnessed an apparent drug transaction in an Elizabethtown restaurant parking lot.

    Richard Brandon Tyler Cox, 26, of Munfordville, and Allen Wade Henderson, 31, of Sonora, face charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance – methamphetamine. Harry L. Jones, 50, of Radcliff is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

  • Suspected meth lab also yields road signs

    Two people were arrested last Friday in connection with methamphetamine production in Hodgenville.

    The LaRue County Sheriff’s office received a call at approximately 3 p.m. Friday afternoon from Carol Routte, age 48, regarding a possible domestic violence situation on Herbert Howell Rd. with boyfriend Roberto Gonzalez, 49.

  • Robbery suspect shot by officer

    A Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officer shot a suspect in a Sonora truck stop robbery early Sunday morning in Jefferson County after police said the man displayed a firearm.

  • Woman may face charges after attempting to run over officers

    A Buffalo woman may face charges after she allegedly drove a vehicle into a LaRue County constable’s cruiser and attempted to run over two officers.

    The woman’s name has not been released by officers as the case remains under investigation.

  • Three indicted on drug charges

     Three Upton residents were indicted July 16 by a LaRue County grand jury on various drug offenses.

    Ordered to serve sentence

    Ben E. Poore (1964) was ordered to serve his sentence in a 2006 case of criminal possession of a forged instrument. The judge noted “defendant provided no excuse.”

     

    Charges dismissed

  • Former deputy jailer pleads guilty to promoting contraband

    A former LaRue County deputy jailer pleaded guilty to a charge of promoting contraband at the jail and first-degree official misconduct.

    Ramona Young, 33, of Hodgenville, admitted to providing tobacco products to an inmate in LaRue District Court.

    Young was sentenced to 60 days, 54 days suspended, probated for two years, according to court records. She was allowed to serve her six-day sentence in the Hardin County Detention Center.

    She was fined $153 but costs and fees were waived, according to court records.
