Diversion extended
Stephanie Brown (1981) agreed to extend her diversion Sept. 19 in LaRue Circuit Court until restitution is paid. She was charged with failure to report change in order to receive benefits. The case will be reviewed Feb. 6.

The Kentucky Court of Appeals concurred with a judgment set down by LaRue Circuit Court in a Sept. 23 decision.

The case Donahue vs. Koetter Woodworking, Inc., was filed in 2010.

Koetter Woodworking filed a complaint to quiet its land title against abutting property owners, Joseph L. Donahue and Dianne E. Donahue, Kenneth R. Simpson and Bonnie Simpson, Williams Marks III, Thomas Watson Fenwick and Robert Lee Simpson and Carole J. Simpson.

Koetter alleged the appellants were wrongfully claiming ownership of about 20 acres near the shared boundary.

Two LaRue County deputies and the LaRue County Sheriff’s Office are facing civil suits in separate cases.
Two women are alleging false imprisonment and false arrest against the department
The cases were filed in September in LaRue Circuit Court. The defendants’ attorneys have already filed responses.
Pamela Dugan, 57, of Buffalo, claims she was pulled from her residence on April 25 by Deputy Brian Smith. She claims she was placed in a cruiser and transported to LaRue County Detention Center where she was processed and jailed for 13 hours.

A Hodgenville woman, charged in 2010 with human trafficking of a child under her care, has pleaded guilty to reduced charges.
Rhonda Brown, 54, originally faced numerous other counts including first-degree sexual abuse and complicity; and third-degree rape and sodomy and complicity after a teenager accused her of making an arrangement with James Merritt Curtsinger, 64, of Hodgenville.
According to allegations made in court records, Curtsinger paid Brown’s expenses in return for sexual favors from the teen.
