Elmer C. Thompson Jr. (1965) was found guilty of flagrant non support Nov. 7 in LaRue Circuit Court. He was sentenced to five years, conditionally discharged and unsupervised probation; and credited for 32 days served. He was fined $385.

“You never know what you’re walking into when you’re called to a domestic.”
Constable Tim Ford summed up a recent experience where he was dispatched to a home to investigate a possible domestic disturbance. The couple in question allegedly joined forces when he attempted to arrest the husband.
Ford responded to the 911 call on Miller Road outside Hodgenville about 6:15 p.m. Nov. 30. According to the report, Farron Edward Sidebottom, 37, of Cruse Road, allegedly shoved his wife, Rebecca Mae Sidebottom, 38.

New details have emerged in the Nov. 22 quadruple shooting that occurred on Heying Lane.

According to Kentucky State Police, three vehicles were driven to the rural area outside Sonora.

Tuesday evening, Trooper Norman Chaffins confirmed that the surviving victim of the shooting, April Roberts, 32, of Elizabethtown, drove a Ford 150 to the scene of the shooting.

Her mother, Barbara Walker, 51, of Elizabethtown, was a passenger of the red Dodge pickup that was driven by Steve L. Bottoms, 55, of Radcliff.

Thanksgiving morning began with the arrest of a 19-year-old jail escapee in a Rineyville residence.

Kentucky State Police are expressing gratitude for an anonymous tip through the Hardin County Crimestoppers program. KSP Post 4 personnel were told that Nunn was at residence in the 700 block of Blackburn Road in the Rineyville area. Troopers reportedly discovered Nunn hiding in a closet in a back room at approximately 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
