    Bookings at the LaRue County Detention Center from Friday, April 29 to Friday, May 5

    Ronnie Warren Lawson, 42, of Elizabethtown was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place. He was later released from LCDC.

    Austin Wayne, 24, of Hodgenville was arrested for a parole violation. He was later released from LCDC.

    Phillip Dennison, 56, of Hodgenville was charged with giving an officer a false name. He was later released from LCDC.

  • LaRue County resident sentenced to 78 months in prison

            United States Attorney John E. Kuhn, Jr., announced today that a LaRue County, Kentucky resident was sentenced April 25, 2017 in United States District Court by Senior Judge Charles R. Simpson, III, to 78 months in prison followed by ten years of supervised release.   The Court further ordered Benjamin Boyd of Hodgenville, Kentucky to pay $65,000 in restitution to be divided between nine identified victims, after he pleaded guilty to receipt and possession of child pornography.

  • Sanders vs. Hodgenville case still pending

    The civil suit filed by DeeAnne Sanders against city officials is still pending.

    The lawsuit is against the City of Hodgenville, Steven R. Johnson, and other unknown defendants. The case has had 52 different filings in it since it was originally filed on April 13, 2015. The last filing was on March 3, 2017 and it was a “defendants’ memorandum of law in support of motion for summary judgment.”

  • 13 indicted by grand jury

    The LaRue County Grand Jury handed down a large number of indictments in December as they indicted 13 people on Monday, December 19.

    The indictments were for a large range of charges including sexual abuse, drugs thefts, promoting contraband and others. All thirteen will be arraigned in LaRue County Circuit Court on January 9, 2017.

    Jeffrey Aubrey, 28, of Hodgenville was indicted on single counts of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication. His bail was set at $5,000 cash.
