    Steven T. Edlin, 43, of Raywick, arrested on a warrant.

  • Court briefs - May 24, 2017

    Chad E. Byers had his case dismissed with prejudice. He was charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and tampering with physical evidence.

    Eula Y. Davis, 40, of Elizabethtown was charged with second degree disorderly conduct, public intoxication of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and possession of synthetic drugs. She was later released from LCDC.

  • Large Marijuana Bust in Upton

    LaRue County farmers were harvesting corn on Saturday, September 9 when they discovered more than corn in their field.

    LaRue County Deputy Sheriff Doug Sherrard said he received a call about marijuana plants that were discovered in a cornfield on Upton Talley Road outside of Upton. Once Sherrard arrived, he discovered 33 marijuana plants.

    Gerald Gregory Puckett, 53 of Louisville was lodged for failure to comply with sex offender registration and for registered sex offender residence restrictions. He remains lodged in LCDC.

    Juan Salazar, 34, of Hodgenville was lodged for reckless driving, no operators license, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and display or possession of cancelled or fictitious operators license. He remains lodged in LCDC.

  • State bridge damaged by DUI driver

    A state highway bridge in Hodgenville was damaged by a DUI driver who crashed into it on Monday, September 11.

    According to the police report, Pete Michael Turner Sherlock, 22, of Augusta, South Carolina was traveling east on north L and N Turnpike in a silver Dodge Ram truck when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the state highway bridge.

    Brianna R. Abney entered a guilty plea to second degree possession of a controlled substance. Commonwealth recommended 12 months probation.

    Brittany Ball bond was modified to $5,000 10%. She is charged with complicity to first degree possession of a controlled substance, complicity to possession of drug paraphernalia, complicity to third degree possession of a controlled substance and complicity to marijuana.

    Bobby W. Fisher entered a guilty plea to first degree fleeing or evading police. Commonwealth recommended three years probation.

  • Bradshaw indicted

    Indictments were handed down by the LaRue County Grand Jury on Monday, July 17 in two high profile cases.

    Phillip Bradshaw 54, of Hodgenville was indicted on two counts of exploiting an adult over $300, two counts of knowingly abuse/neglect by person and second degree cruelty to animals.

    Ronnie Warren Lawson, 42, of Elizabethtown was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place. He was later released from LCDC.

    Austin Wayne, 24, of Hodgenville was arrested for a parole violation. He was later released from LCDC.

    Phillip Dennison, 56, of Hodgenville was charged with giving an officer a false name. He was later released from LCDC.
