    Jason Michael Andrews, 34, of Hodgenville was charged with two counts of fourth degree assault, third degree criminal abuse and intimidating a participant in the legal process. He was later released from LCDC on bond. Arresting agency was the Kentucky State Police.

  • Bennett plead not guilty

    Curtis Bennett of Buffalo was arraigned in Marion County Circuit Court on Wednesday January 20. He pleaded not guilty to charges of video voyeurism and third degree unlawful transaction with a minor.

    Bennett was arrested Wednesday January 6 and charged with video voyeurism and unlawful transaction with a minor in the third degree.

    An investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office found evidence of inappropriate activity with a female Marion County Public School student.

  • Embry facing more charges

    A local woman who was arrested for animal cruelty had more charges brought against her in LaRue County District Court last Wednesday.

    Jane Embry, 57, of Magnolia was originally charged with 60 counts of animal cruelty and she was charged with another 42 counts in court last Wednesday, bringing the total to 102 counts.

  • Man arrested after bizarre incident involving vehicle fire

    A LaRue County man was arrested last Saturday after police responded to a possible burglary and ended up discovered a vehicle on fire on McDowell Spur Road in Hodgenville.

    Arrested at the scene was Vincent A. Evans, 25, of Hodgenville.

  • Man arrested for disorderly conduct

    An Upton man was arrested last Friday night after he reportedly rammed his head through a window.

    Arrested at the scene was Erik B. Mitchell, 36, of Upton.

    According to the LaRue County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Robby Brownfield responded to a complaint on High Street in Upton last Friday. Brownfield said Hardin County EMS was paged out to the scene to assist Mitchell after he reportedly rammed his head through a window.
