 A Buffalo man was sentenced to 10 days in jail after pleading guilty to several traffic violations.

Preliminary hearing rescheduled
A preliminary hearing for Kim Reuter (1966) of Buffalo has been postponed until March 7 in LaRue District Court.
Reuter has been charged with two counts of theft by unlawful taking and one count of harassing communications. The alleged acts occurred in 2010. She has pleaded not guilty.
The preliminary hearing determines whether there is enough evidence to be heard by a grand jury.

Man charged with theft by deception

Four residents have been charged recently with second-degree cruelty to animals.
Amy Brown, 33, and Anthony D. Waldeck, 49, were charged after an officer reported finding several dogs in poor condition  on their property on Howardstown Road.
Brown was fined $153 and received a six-month diversion Jan. 11 in LaRue District Court. She was sentenced to five days, suspended, and two-years unsupervised probation.
Waldeck received a diverted sentence. If he has no further violations of the law during that period, the charge will be dismissed.

Several people were indicted in January by a Hart County grand jury.

Albert T. Speed AKA Tommy Speed, 31, of Magnolia, was indicted for manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity.

Jaclyn A. Wease, 32, of Upton, was indicted for manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity.

Timothy Ray Riggs, 38, of Sonora, was indicted for theft by unlawfully taking a 1997 Dodge Stratus having a value of $500 or more and for being a persistent felony offender.
