  • Hodgenville woman sentenced for embezzling over $540,000

    The former bookkeeper of an Elizabethtown health provider was sentenced this week to 12 months and one day in prison and ordered to pay $541,224.88 in restitution by Senior Judge Thomas B. Russell, for embezzling funds through wire fraud announced United States Attorney John E. Kuhn, Jr.

    Jeanne E. Goodsell, of Hodgenville was charged in a seven count criminal information, on May 8, 2015 and entered a guilty plea to all charges on June 4, 2015.

    John G. Price had a review for permanent counsel and he will be represented by Mark Rice. He is charged with complicity to manufacture methamphetamine, first degree complicity of a controlled substance, complicity of unlawful possession of a meth precursor and drug paraphernalia.

    Christopher J. Die was scheduled for a show cause hearing and had a bench warrant previously issued. He was declared a fugitive.

    Chad Byers, 45, of Barlow was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence. He remains lodged in LCDC

    Tina M. Cunningham, 47, of Hodgenville was charged with theft by deception. She was released from LDCD on bond.

    Jermaine P. Dyer, 32, of Radcliff was charged with flagrant nonsupport, he remains lodged in LCDC.

    Amanda Banks, 35, of Hodgenville was charged with failure to wear seat belts, failure to notify of an address change, possessing a license when privileges are revoked and license to be in possession. She was later released from LCDC on bond.

    Dalton D. Carter, 20, of Buffalo was charged with violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO. He remains lodged in LCDC.

    Bookings at the LaRue County Detention Center from Monday, November 14 to Monday, November 21

    Cory A. Bowman, 19, of Louisville was charged with speeding 17 mph over limit, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the LCDC and later released on bond.

    Carlos Cardoba, 44, of Hodgenville was charged with fourth degree assault. He was lodged in LCDC and later released on bond.

  • Goodlett case still pending

    The child porn charges against a former LaRue County High School principal are still pending.

    Stephen Kyle Goodlett waived his preliminary hearing in Hardin County District Court on Monday, October 24. After waiving the hearing, Goodlett’s case will now go before the Hardin County Grand Jury

    According to the Hardin County Circuit Court Clerk’s office, Goodlett has still not been indicted and there have also been no new charges brought against Goodlett at press time.
