    COURT BRIEFS

    Bobby G. Flatt was arraigned for first degree complicity of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), complicity of possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication of a controlled substance and careless driving.

    Lucas Milby was arraigned for first degree fleeing or evading police and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Large Marijuana Bust in Upton

    LaRue County farmers were harvesting corn on Saturday, September 9 when they discovered more than corn in their field.

    LaRue County Deputy Sheriff Doug Sherrard said he received a call about marijuana plants that were discovered in a cornfield on Upton Talley Road outside of Upton. Once Sherrard arrived, he discovered 33 marijuana plants.

    Gerald Gregory Puckett, 53 of Louisville was lodged for failure to comply with sex offender registration and for registered sex offender residence restrictions. He remains lodged in LCDC.

    Juan Salazar, 34, of Hodgenville was lodged for reckless driving, no operators license, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and display or possession of cancelled or fictitious operators license. He remains lodged in LCDC.

  • State bridge damaged by DUI driver

    A state highway bridge in Hodgenville was damaged by a DUI driver who crashed into it on Monday, September 11.

    According to the police report, Pete Michael Turner Sherlock, 22, of Augusta, South Carolina was traveling east on north L and N Turnpike in a silver Dodge Ram truck when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the state highway bridge.

    Anthony P. Schnyder, 43, of Hodgenville was lodged for second degree assault. He was later released from LCDC.

    Brandon Wayne Moore, 30, of Upton was lodged for second degree fleeing or evading police, disregarding a stop sign, second degree wanton endangerment, flagrant non support and persistent felony offender II.

    Joshua Wolford, 30, of Buffalo was lodged for speeding 26 MPH over the speed limit, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of marijuana and having no registration receipt. He was later released from LCDC.

  • Twenty people indicted

    The LaRue County Grand Jury handed down a laundry list of indictments on Monday, August 21 and most of them were for drug charges.

    Shannon D. Ward, 42, of Glasgow was indicted for complicity to receiving stolen property, complicity to first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and complicity to possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $5,000 cash.

    Anthony P. Schynder Jr., 23, of Hodgenville was indicted on one count of second degree assault. His bail was set at $9,500 cash.

    Crystal J. Bennett was arraigned for first degree possession of a controlled substance, first degree possession of an opiate, operating on a suspended or revoked operators license and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

    Terry Bowen was arraigned for complicity to second degree assault.

    Phillip B. Bradshaw was arraigned on two counts of knowingly exploiting an adult by person over $300, knowingly abuse/neglect of an adult by person and second degree cruelty to animals.

He was later released from LCDC.
