    Bookings at the LaRue County Detention Center from Monday, July 27 to Monday, August 3

    Matthew R. Compton, 25, of Elizabethtown was charged with speeding 19 MPH over the speed limit and disorderly conduct, second degree. He was later released from LCDC on bond.

    Chasity Lynn Hodgens, 39, of Bardstown was charged with failure to appear and she remains lodged in LCDC on bond.

    Kimberly I Latondress, 29, of New Haven was charged with theft by deception-including cold checks under $500. She was later released from LCDC on bond.

  • Fiscal Court OKs order of succession discuss cleanup

    LaRue County Fiscal Court magistrates, meeting at the courthouse in Hodgenville July 14, approved an order of succession in the event the county judge-executive becomes incapacitated.

    Those approved, in order, are Tony Stewart (first district), Ricky Whitlock(second district), Larry Howell(fourth district) and Ronald Dale Nunn(third district).

    County Judge Executive Tommy Turner explained why it was important to have this order in place.

  • Two plead guilty to trafficking charges


    Co-defendants Amy Nicole Loyall and Cassidy Merrick Loyall both pleaded guilty to several charges June 30 in LaRue County Circuit Court.

    Amy N. Loyall (1986) of New Haven was sentenced to one year, diverted, for first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, Adderall, a drug used to treat attention deficit disorders and narcolepsy. Thirteen other charges were dismissed.

  • Kolley trial moved to Oct. 12


    Samantha J. Kolley appeared in LaRue Circuit Court on Monday. Kolley (1992) was indicted Jan. 2012 by a LaRue County grand jury on a charge of theft by unlawful taking - auto, and complicity. She is accused of taking a 2007 Toyota Camry owned by 28-year-old Kristie Lynne Allen.

    Kolley, according to a witness, was accompanied by Abdullah White, 35, of Radcliff, as she drove away from a Buffalo residence in Allen’s vehicle. White was sentenced to 45 years June 1 for the murder of Allen. Her body was found inside the residence Dec. 30, 2011.

  • Magnolia woman arrested after husband’s court appearance

    A Magnolia woman in Hardin Circuit Court to show support for her incarcerated husband was arrested Tuesday, June 23, on a complicity to drug trafficking charge.

    Cynthia Nadeau, 50, was in the gallery with a female relative during Jeffrey Nadeau’s appearance on the same charges. Once he started to leave the courtroom with a bailiff, he turned back and blew his wife a kiss.

  • Rollin pleads guity, sentenced

    Timothy A. Rollin of Hodgenville pleaded guilty June 1 in the LaRue Circuit Court to amended charges and other charges against him. The pleas from two separate cases stem from events that occurred in 2014 involving a minor in Meade County and events of December 2014 at the LaRue County Detention Center. Since Rollin waived a pre-sentencing investigation, two final judgments of conviction were signed by LaRue Circuit Court Judge John David Seay, June 1.

  • Benningfield sentenced

    The mother of a missing Magnolia teenager was recently sentenced in court.

    Jessica R. Benningfield, 34, of Hodgenville was sentenced to 12 months in jail in LaRue County District Court on Wednesday, September 9. The sentence is a result of an incident involving Benningfield’s 16-year-old daughter, Chamberlyn Benningfield, who was originally reported as a missing person on August 20. The juvenile was later found by police at Benningfield’s residence on August 27.
