Bonnie Childress has opened an insurance office in Mount Sherman.
Childress moved to her new location in October, after spending a two-year stint in her Elizabethtown office.
She is enthusiastic about the move saying, “The setting is really peaceful and the people are extremely welcoming.”
Childress lives in Mount Sherman with her husband J.J. They have three children, Josh, Chelsee and Chloe. She graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree in middle grades education and in 2008 became licensed to sell insurance.

Curves of Hodgenville is adding Zumba classes to its fitness facility.

Owner Karen Elliott has earned a license to teach Zumba, an exercise regime that relies on high-energy, Latin-inspired music to keep participants motivated.

Elliott called the simple dance moves “a real stress reliever."

"It really works the abdomen and hips and tones all over,” she said. “You’ll feel stronger after a workout.”

Zumba can burn up to 500-calories in a 30-minute workout.

Duckworth Insurance, a constant in Hodgenville for more than 110 years, is offering a new service.

It has been appointed an independent agent for auto insurance from another old-timer - AAA.

AAA has been a “leader in automotive safety and travel services” for more than a century, according to Randi Clark, an agent for Duckworth Insurance. AAA is rated “A” for excellent by A.M. Best, the insurance industry’s largest independent rating organization.

“We’re excited to have them,” Clark said.

Betty Lawson with the J.E. Bramblett sales team was named top sales agent for December, announced J.E. Bramblett, principal broker of Re/Max Executive Group Inc. in Elizabethtown. Lawson specializes in residential and new construction sales.
