Lanny and Linda Vincent, who raise Limousin cattle on their 90-acre farm outside Buffalo, have developed a virtual stockyard at www.midsouthcattle.com. The website, which was under development about four months, offers an economical way to bring buyers and sellers together, Lanny Vincent said.

Sunrise Manor Nursing Home is now under management of Signature Healthcare.
The nursing home’s board of directors signed the agreement Wednesday at the LaRue County Courthouse after a fractious meeting with a group of Sunrise Volunteers and other interested persons.
Signature, a Louisville-based company, took immediate management responsibilities of the 1967-era nursing home and will continue under a new contract when residents and staff move into the larger facility still under construction.

Unemployment rates fell in 93 Kentucky counties between February 2010 and February 2011, including LaRue County, according to the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. Twenty-four county rates increased, while three county rates stayed the same.

LaRue County’s rate declined from 10.6 percent in January to 10.4 percent in February. It declined 2 percent from February 2010.

Fayette and Woodford counties recorded the lowest jobless rates in the Commonwealth at 8.6 percent each.
