Unemployment rates fell in 114 Kentucky counties between December 2010 and December 2011, while six county rates increased, according to the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.
LaRue County’s rate was 7.2 percent in December down from 7.4 percent in November and down from 8.4 percent a year ago.
In the Elizabethtown Metropolitan Statistical Area, the rate was 8.6 percent in December, down from 8.7 percent in November and down from 8.9 percent a year ago.
