 Many buyers when purchasing a home opt for an inspection to check structural soundness, plumbing, electrical and many other components to eliminate the surprise of underlying major issues. One thing that is often left out of this inspection process is the home’s septic system.

 LaRue County is home to two of the 106 markets accepted into the 2012 Kentucky Farm Bureau Certified Roadside Farm Market Program. They are Hinton’s Orchard and Farm Market and Lee’s Garden Center.

In joining the Kentucky Farm Bureau Certified Roadside Farm Market Program, these markets have committed to offering quality products and service to their customers. Their acceptance by Farm Bureau tells customers that they meet the highest standards of quality, freshness, and marketing appeal.

 Branscum Construction Company was presented the 2011 “Build Kentucky” Award by the Associated General Contractors of Kentucky at an awards banquet on Feb. 24. The Russell Springs-based company was honored for the design and construction of the new Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.

Eddie Cruse has been selected as the March Employee of the Month for Nationwide Uniform.

Cruse has been employed with Nationwide since October 1983 and is under the supervision of B.J. Gaskin in the maintenance department.

He will receive a special award for his dedication and service.
