 Lincoln Trail Career Centers are taking applications for summer and fall classes for job-seekers interested in advancing their skill sets through training opportunities. Programs vary from short-term up to two years and are available for high-skill, high-demand occupations in fields such as health care, computer and information technology, advanced manufacturing and new automotive. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.

 Members of the Leadership LaRue class traveled to Hinton’s Orchard and Farm Market April 3 as part of agriculture day.  Serco, a travel and hospitality company, is expanding its reach in the industry by creating 125 jobs at its Campbellsville center. The international service company acquired Intelenet Global Services last year in order to partner global travel with hospitality services for worldwide clientele.

To Jerry Dale Hornback, the decision to move his florist shop from his home in the county to downtown Hodgenville was simple: it’s more accessible for customers.
Although business was good at the Salem Lake Road location, it has improved as more people have taken note of the brightly colored wreaths hanging from the awning of Heavenly Harvest Florist and Gift Shop on Lincoln Boulevard.
“A lot of people didn’t want to travel out that far,” said Jerry. “It’s more convenient here.”
