  • Robert Dedman

     Robert Dedman of Louisville died May 6, 2012.

    The U.S. Army veteran is survived by his wife, Imogene (Bennett) Dedman, formerly of Buffalo; and their son, Jon Barry Dedman.

    The funeral was May 10, 2012, at Highlands family-Owned Funeral Home in Louisville with burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.

  • Leland Goodman, 85

     Leland Goodman, 85, of Sonora, died May 14, 2012.

    He is survived by one son, Danny Butler; and two daughters, Patricia Riggs and Rosie Daily.

    A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora with the Rev. Bradley Alvey officiating. Burial will be private at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

    Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

  • Nettie E. Culver Hagan, 75

     Nettie E. Culver Hagan, 75, of Bardstown, died May 13, 2012.

    She is survived by four daughters, Theresa Nalley, Annette Culver, Debbie Snellen Nall and Francey Cecil; and one brother, Sidney Lee Earley.

    The funeral is 11 a.m. May 16 at Northside Funeral Home, Bardstown. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Church Cemetery in Bardstown.

    Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Northside Funeral Home.

    An American Legion Ladies Auxiliary service will be held 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

    Chad Everett Knox, 27, of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, at his residence.

    He was an employee at Asplundh Tree Service, and Ricky Knox Tree Service.

  • Esther Mae Cecil Ritchie Fix, 83

    Esther Mae Cecil Ritchie Fix, 83, of Mesa, Az., formerly of New Haven, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012, in Mesa, Az.

    She was a member of Little Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mesa and former member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in New Haven.

    She was born July 12, 1928, in Holy Cross. She was a homemaker, loved square dancing and helped establish the Haven Hoppers.

    She was preceded in death by her first husband of 26 years, George M. Ritchie; her second husband of 33 years, Raymond Paul Fix; a son, Jerry Ritchie; and a daughter, Lynn Ritchie.

    Ruby Pearl Straley Cruse Hill, 101, of Mount Sherman, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Colonial Healthcare Center in Bardstown. Ruby was a devoted mother, step-mother and aunt to her loved ones left behind.

    Anthony Coccia, 94, of Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville, formerly of Florida, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.

    He was a retired airplane mechanic with Eastern Airlines, and a World War II Army veteran.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Emilio and Marie Cutillo Coccia; and a brother, Joe Coccia.

  • David Wayne Devore, 61

     David Wayne Devore, 61, of Hodgenville, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.

    He was baptized at Three Forks Bacon Creek Church. A life long farmer, he was retired from Gates Rubber Company and took advantage of each day and lived life to the fullest.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Arvel and Nettie Marie Knight Devore.

  • Naomi R. Cruse Timpe, 78

     Naomi R. Cruse Timpe, 78, of Louisville, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Radcliff.

    She was a former security guard with Metro Special Police and a member of Hikes Point Christian Church.

    She was preceded in death by a sister, Elma Jean Underwood; a brother, Allen Cruse; her parents, Virgil and Clydia Shipp Cruse; and a great-granddaughter, Caitlin Huynh.

  • Frank H. Housley, 88

    Frank H. Housley, 88, of Buffalo, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Golden Living Center and Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg.

    He was a member of the Pentecostal faith and retired as a chemical operator for the Rachhold Chemical Company.

    He was born May 12, 1923, in Sheridan, Ark., the son of the late William and Josephine Reed Housley.
