Water from Hodgenville Water Works is deemed safe to drink after City officials said they tested multiple locations, chlorinated and flushed the lines and isolated the source of samples that tested positive for Coliform bacteria and E. Coli.
E.Coli found in city water sample

A boil water advisory was issued for all Hodgenville Water Works customers last Friday after city officials determined a random sample indicated some bacterial growth at a residence that had not been occupied for quite some time.

After chlorinating and flushing the system last Saturday, Hodgenville Mayor Kenny DeVore said retesting came back clean and that the water is now safe to drink.
